Jerry Li, MS
Business Strategist; Managing Partner
Mr. Jerry Li has a very diverse background of business
management and marketing experience expanding over a sixteen year
period. As an entrepreneur, he started his own IT hardware company,
successfully expanded the business into a very niche market, and
later on sold the company. As a partner of a medium-sized brand
apparel company, he lead its marketing efforts, strategic planning,
and built a rigorous operations system as the foundation for its
future growth. As a corporate executive of an international conglomerate,
he was in charge of its international marketing, mergers, acquisitions,
and corporate valuation. As a merge and acquisition deal maker,
he had chances to exam numerous US companies in various industries.
He acquired much practical marketing knowledge. All of these experiences
coupled with his formal engineering training (BS and MS degrees
in Electrical Engineering) have proven extremely beneficial in his
current position as Business Consultant at both domestic and international
levels. Jerry Li also is a member of the American Marketing Association
and is a licensed business intermediate.
Leonard Cueva, MBA, CBA
Executive Advisor, Business Evaluation
Mr. Cueva, a product of Southern California,
has a corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions background.
He has held numerous corporate positions with Fortune 500 companies
in addition to tenure as an Associate for an investment-banking
subsidiary of Salomon Smith Barney. At SSB, Mr. Cueva evaluated
over 75 privately held firms, with industries that include but not
limited to manufacturing, high-technology, computers, and professional
services. Moreover, he has written over 200 Professional Evaluations
and Business Reviews in addition to earning high honors from Senior
Management. After a successful tenure with SSB, Mr. Cueva left to
help propel a growing capital formation business by developing its
Business Evaluations services and fostering a strategic relationship
with a major business brokerage. This brokerage is well noted for
assisting business owners with the marketing of companies and recognized
as one of the fastest growing franchises in the nation.
His education and professional background include a B.A. International
Business, M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a NASD Licensed
Broker. Additionally, he is a candidate for the designation of Certified
Business Appraiser (CBA).
Richard E. Ricks, Jr., MBA, SPHR
Executive Advisor- Business Planning
Mr. Ricks has over 15 years of accounting, administrative, business
planning, merger and acquisition and banking experience with a number
of entrepreneurial companies. He is also experienced in dealing
with banks, investment bankers, and venture capitalists. Over the
past 15 years, Mr. Ricks has written many successful business plans
for himself as well as others. Prior to founding The Strategist
Group, Mr. Ricks helped found Georgia PCS, a wireless telecommunications
company affiliated with Sprint PCS. After raising $100 million for
the venture and growing annualized sales from $0 to $50 million,
the company was acquired by a publicly traded entity in early 2002.
Mr. Ricks was also founder and President of Academic & Collegiate
Software, which he later sold to a group of investors. Mr. Ricks
received his MBA with highest honors from Georgia College &
State University and his BISyE from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He has also completed post-graduate studies at The Stanford Graduate
School of Business, The Kellogg Graduate School of Management and
The Wharton School.
